wandering thoughts
Everyone says to attain lucidity, you gotta not let your mind wander before you sleep. But the only way that i can fall asleep is IF my mind wanders. I have to let it go. If i start thinking about flying tree stumps or something i know i'm gonna black out in like 2 seconds. if i don't zone out i just lay there for hours. :?:

I hear ya - I'm the same way. If I try to concentrate on attaining lucidity, I just lie awake. But if I zone out, I fall asleep right away. Sorry I can't give you any advice, but I'd like some as well!

Yeah I notice that too. If I let my thoughts wander I can actually feel falling asleep. But I cannot really force 'random thoughts', they just happen if I just... don't try not thinking about anything.

When I started researching LD's and read the WILD technique, i was not surprised that the breathing technique is the same as zen meditation, try practicing zen meditation for 20 minutes every day.

It should help you understand how to deal with random thoughts, and if nothing else it has it's own set of benefits.
