(Gum chewing technique)
Before starting this tehnique get about 5 hours of sleep.
Step1: Start chewing gum about five minutes before going to bed/
Step 2: Go to bed and keep chewing. concentrate on the gum.
Step3: as you fall sleep, the gum shewing will be transfered into your dreams, Then you should realize the gum is there, and you will instantly become lucid.
The only problem I have found with this is that I cannot spit the gum out in the dream. ( or if I do it just comes right back.)
One of the most fun and weird ideas I've heard. I like it. :bowdown: I'm definitely going to have to try it some time. :banana:
Is there an easy way to stop yourself choking to death during this process?

And no I didn't go buy gum and try it. Thinking it over I realized how stupid chewing gum while asleep really is. Good joke though. :lolxtreme:
Chewing gum would probably work, just like Hargart's finger tapping technique (FILD). Repeating a small physical movement while falling asleep seems to facilitate lucidity. The next logical step would be to chew nicotine gum... :D

I've fallen asleep while chewing gum in the middle of the day. I woke up like 20-30 minutes later and it was just clamped down under my teeth. Didn't actually have any dreams that I remembered.

Hi ledzepplin: The joke may be on you, amigo. This is probably a good technique. Compare this with FILD. It is truly said that out of the mouths of fools come words of wisdom. (Not just chewing gum, ha, ha, ha). Nice try, but I think you may have actually stumbled onto something that could work. :lol:

Ya know. I feel like doing something stupid and insane, so there actually is the possibility of my trying it. If I get sick and have to miss a day of school, All the better :withstupid: (I'm a good student, all A's in a really good school. I just need a bread from schoolwork.)

I actually based this off of HILD,(which seems to be the same as FILD) but the gum thing is silly. YOu might chocke on it or worse get it stuk in your hair.
A strong mint-flavoured gum would work best in my opinion.
But before I try something like this I'll probably put some ocean sounds on my mp3 player and fall asleep to that and see what happens.
