Having trouble writing things down

Well,I've gotten pretty good at LDing now. I seem to remember having a lucid dream almost every night where I can remember a dream (because its become very easy for me to recognize) but my problem is not having lucid dreams, its remembering them.

I have a dream journal right next to my bed with a pen attached, but usually, as soon as I wake up I am far too tired to write in it, and if I turn on the lights to become less tired, I lose rememberence of my dream. Then, if I reach over to get my dream journal while its dark, I usually miss and my sleep-muddled mind gives up and I go back to sleep. Now, the logical thing to do would be to wait until morning and then write them down, right? Well, as soon as I wake up in the morning, I forget everything. It seems that I can only remember dreams after waking up in the middle of the night, but if I don't write them down, all I usually remember is that the dream was lucid, (this I know for a fact) but I can't recall any details.

Perhaps I should use a tape recorder?

I experience this same thing. I wake up right after a dream, but don't want to make the effort of writing it down, or am too tired to move.

Unfortunately, lucid dreaming takes practice and willpower, so you must sacrifice a little to make progress. So I roll over, and blindly scribble down a few keywords, then go fall back to sleep. In the morning, these keywords are all that's needed to jump start my memory. i may not remember all the small details, but I get the general jist of the dream. And sometimes I'll remember more details as I'm recording the full dream in my journal.

So do whatever works for you, but at least make an effort and try to write down a few words at night and see if your recall improves.

I little technique that I use to remember my dreams just as I have awoken is to sit up and turn on my bedside lamp. Think of the dream and the main points; don't try to write anything down until you can remember the whole dream or as much as you can. When you feel you have remembered all that you can, get your Dream Journal out and start writing. I find this works well.

when i wake up, without moving i lie there until i can repeat the dream i want to write a few times from beginning to end in my mind, then i turn on the light and actually get up, sometimes bringing my journal to my desk (my handwriting is really bad and writing while in bed usually leads to illegibility)

I've been recalling for more than 6 months without a dream journal... I progressed but now im on a peak and cant progresws anymore without it.

Ne way, I'm mostly not writin my dreams because im feeling exhausted plis I dont want any one to read it (Since im screwing my ex gf (which is now a friends gf) and this same friend ex gf which is now a good intimate friend, every nights. It could bring me in big trouble. :roll:
