hi guys,
I have excellant dream recall, and I have read all the the posts about doing RC. But the problem is, to do a RC you have to check for : unusual things, look at the time, and ask myself If I am in a dream, but I can't!. Because while I'm dreaming I can't make choices, therefore I cant do reality checks, I really do need help!

I have the same problem... I can't do anything to check to make sure that I'm dreaming. If I could control my dream and go hit a lightswitch or something like that I could figure I was dreaming, but I can't go to the light. The dream just goes by without my consent.
The only few times I realized I was dreaming and became lucid was when I was really calm and in my dream fell from a really high height and didnt die... but usually if something like that happens i'll wake up or not think anything of it..
imo you can use RCs in two different ways:
1. You know something is not right and you do a RC to confirm it's a dream.
Thats what you are talking about.
But this only works if you already know you're dreaming and you do the RC only to reassure yourself or to increase the lucidity.
2. You do RCs during the day and get accustomed to it so you start doing it in your dreams.
That's the way you should do it.
While you are awake ask yourself if you could be dreaming then do a RC to find out if ou are (of course you are not dreaming at that time but you have to really think that it could be a dream). After a while you start doing it in your dreams too (you don't decide to do it you do it by habit). And then, when doing the RC you find out that you can stick your hand through a wall or that you have 6 fingers on each hand. That's when you should realise that you are dreaming.
