It is a LOT harder to WILD just before you go to bed because it can take up to 1 1/2 hours to reach REM sleep once you have fallen asleep, and even the the REM period only lasts 5 minutes or so. The optimum time for WILD is afternoon naps or after 5-6 hours of sleep. It takes less time to reach REM sleep in these cases and the REM period lasts a lot longer (up to 1 1/2 hours)
