does this qualify?
lately i been having dreams in which i seemed to be willing things to happen, and succeed. but i never consciously acknowledge that i am dreaming. i had a spontaneous LD in may, but i was unable to control anything, but i knew i was dreaming. the other night i had a dream in which , again, i didnt consciously acknowledge dreaming but found myself taking mental notes on what i saw- for the purposes of looking in a dream dictionary. there was a person there actually helping to point out the various symbols looool.
so does any of this qualify as being mildly lucid?

Unfortunately no, but that is not necessarily such a bad thing. You have control, which I think is better than lucidity. Seeker and I have argued over this more than once regarding the lucid task of the month. I really don't care too much about lucidity. I can do the tasks perfectly, have a dream with the intensity of a lucid, but because I did not care that I was dreaming, only that I had control, it does not count. I like to think the line has been drawn in the sand wrong.

Sometimes I have dreams where I’m actually good at dream control also, like flying, Jedi mind tricks and light sabers, in those dreams it’s like I always had that control. But you said welling it to happen? Not sure but do you mean that sometimes a thought just comes across you mind in a non-lucid dream and it happens? I don’t get that as much, but sometimes that helps if you have a nightmare or whatever. The only times when I gotten killed in a dream was when I was distracted by something else, like crane games. Then maybe my mind didn’t have the control over it because it just to get that teddy bear. Also I had non-lucid dreams where my control was better in my lucid dreams, even thought I find flying a LOT easier that changing scenes or teleporting, which I never done in a non-lucid dream.
