Yes LDing and especially the various things I do to induce LD leave me more tired than not. If I have an LD, I am up recording it and thinking about it; if I don't, I'm putting on headphones, being kept awake by recordings supposed to make me LD, taking pills, trying to FILD, WILD, etc. Very exhausting. But hopefully worth it.
Not for me, I just tend to have an LD, I don't listen to any of these mp3s or taking pills like Vitamin B6, I usually have an LD when I don't think about them at night.
I suppose tiredness can be an effect of experience within the lucid state.
Perhaps, in an effort to become lucid, your sleep is more broken than when you don't attempt lucid dreaming.
I always wake up very refreshed after a night of lucid dreaming. Add to this the feeling of being energized and elated after having such an experience, and suddenly a few nights of broken sleep don't really seem like much of an issue.
Happy dreaming.
Definately not the case for me. I never feel cheated on sleep because of it. It doesn't take any more mental energy than a normal dream does. Even when not lucid my mind is very active while dreaming. I guess if you wake up a lot and actually cut into the amount of time you sleep, that would affect it, but if you're getting the same amount of sleep as normal I don't see how that should negatively affect your restfullness.
I am trying to get to bed earlier so the time I'm awake doesn't matter as much. Hopefully when I get better I;ll spend less time up at night. I have to record my dreams right away or else I forget them.
It all depends on what you do. I'm not big on pills or special techniques that much because it requires something completely out of the ordinary. When I have a LD it's a DILD, or when I wake up in the morning after a dream I'll try to WILD for a minute or two, usually falling asleep in the process.
I've never really noticed... its something i'll have to experiment with. Anyone wanna help me?
