So, i've been keeping a dream diary...i usually remember one dream per night, but i sometimes have nights when i wake up with my head completely empty.
Anyway, i decided to try WILD.I got to bed at about 1 am and i put my alarm clock at 7 am. I woke up without it at 6:30, turned the alarm off and spent some time at the computer. At about 7:10 i was back in bed...i was still sleepy so i relaxed quite easily..at first nothing happened, but after a while i started to feel my body numb, but at the same time i knew i could move if i wanted to, i even moved my hand a little to test it. It was getting kinda unconfortable, my back was beginning to hurt because i was standing still. At one moment, for a second or two, i felt as if the room was shaking and a slight pressure on the sides of my nose, at eye level (i think there's a word for that spot on ur face, but i can't think of it roght now). I got bored and tried to count to 100, after i failed twice, my mind wandering off at about 50, i did once more and i was getting really annoyed and at 30 i opened my eyes. I got out of bed really easy. I looked at the clock and was i surprised to see it was 8:40...and i've been relaxing for an hourand a half.
I'm a bit discouraged about this all...all i wanted was a little light when i ahd my eyes closed..smtg to show me that i'm on the right track :blue:
So my question is, is this normal? I didn't see absoultely anything and i doubt that smtg would've happened if i kept staying in bed...Should i try WILD agian tomorrow or try smtg new? Did any start of the same way that i did?

The same thing happens to me during naps.
However, 7 AM seems mighty late for WILDing. I'd say 4 or 5 AM is a good time. A time at which, if you were not to WILD, you would drift off to sleep within sheer moments - perhaps a minute or two at most.

I used to have this problem on my first couple of WILD attempts, I think anticipation and excitment ruins WILD's a lot of the time.

WILD is an advanced technique. Few people just 'get' it first time. It'll be a slow progression of successes. You'll have to overcome your boredness. Overcome feeling uncomfortable. Overcome everything. Think of it this way. You're literally tricking your mind into thinking that you're asleep, so you have to play the part.
