Lately when i dream, the subject of the dreams seem to be about things that happened a really long time ago and i cant figure out why. I read on a number of LD sites that whatever you read or watch before bed can usually be the subect of your dreams but i dont seem to.

I have a theory on this and would like some feedback if possible on the theory so here it is....

Since is was 13 i had been smoking weed every day for the past 6 years and recently i have given it up due to the effect it was having on my ability to become lucid and dream recall, since i stopped my dreams have come back with a bang and its great the only problem is i seem to dream of things which happened when i was 13-16. My theory is ppl who i have spoke to say that smoking weed suppresses REM sleep cycles and puts you in a deep sleep state so you find it hard to recall any dreams, so if i smoked weed for so long all the dreams i should of had back then i am having now. Maybe my body is catching up on the REM cycles and subjects of the past years which i wasnt able to dream about back then.

Do you think this is possibe or am i CRAZY!! Probably Crazy LOL. :-)

      Thx

actualy, this kinda makes sense. i mean, if for some reason THC suppresses your REM sleep, i would think that your brain would try to catch up with the cycles.

also, it would explain part of the reason why weed does what it does to you, if you smoke alot for a prolonged period (lota my friends are heavily into it, though im not, so i have some experience with it)

Thanks for your reply THANK GOD IM NOT CRAZY!! LOL

I thought of it this morning as when i awoke i had dreamed of events that happened about 5 years ago, so i came to the conclusion that my brain had to show me these dreams before i can catch up with recent events such as all the reading information of LD's i have been doing!

Its a good job we have a couple of dreams a night otherwise ill be 40 and still dreaming about when i was 25 LOL,

I may try other techniques other than the obvious ones such as WILD, MILD and WBTB to help me dream of recent events...

      Thanks again
