Talking Aloud In Wilds?

It sounds more as hypnosis than WILDs but we know that they are too similar.
And hypnotic trance is usually deeper than a normal wild.

So, did you try talking aloud while entering to your dreams?

Sayng things like: "I'm falling asleep" "I will have a lucid dream" " 10, 9, 8...."
"I'm almost in"


When you begin with hynagogic imaginery, describing what you see.

And when finally enter to your dream, you can still talk about it, without waking up.

You can have a person out there who listen to what you say, or, if you are alone, record your voice to listen tio it then.

Have any of you tried it!?

I would think that it would snap you back out of the drifting state and interupt the WILD and HI's.
When I start seeing the images, I make sure to lay very still. Not sure about this but anything is worth a try!

It probably wouldn't work, it may just ruin your progress so far, but maybe it's worth a try.

I Couldn't try it yet, because I'm married, and my husband would think I've completely lost my mind :content:

But, I think it could be a great idea. I think it this way: when I'm in an hypnotic trance, It doesn't ruin my progress to talk aloud. WILD is a close neighbour of self-hypnosis. It must not be different!

I'll try it as soon as I have the chance to take a rest, alone.

This made me think of shamanic journeying. They listen to a drum to fall into a trance and then 'journey' wherever, which is lucid dreaming I think. In Michael Harner's book The Way of the Shaman he suggests narrating the journey out loud, like you say, to increase the vividness, and if you could record it to listen back to. I never thought of so called shamanic journeying as WILD but I suppose that's all it is.
