I think so many people fail at WILD because they are just too amped. Remember, for you body to enter REM,your brain waves have to go through a change. So if you are FULLY aware and conscious then its probably not possible to start dreaming. I am absolutely no expert, but the one and only WILD i have had was through not even wanting it. I think the trick would be to stay conscious, but not really awake. And get WILD out of your head because its gonna keep you awake.
For everyone that is failing:
If you are doing WBTB, dont get up for 30-45 minutes. Just turn off the alarm (or whatever you use to wake up) and just drift. WILD will be on your mind, but not to the point of concentrating on it. From what i can understand while you are CONCENTRATING it is impossible for your brain to go the change.
As i said, i am no expert or scientist. This was just my experience. Try it out a couple of times with my AILD method and tell me if it works.
Peace.........

I have the opposite problem lol. I wake up, think "Uhh ok it's time to WILD" and then I fall back asleep.
