Simple way to become lucid very quickly?

So i was reading somewhere from googling... and it said that researchers took 30 subjects, hypnotized all 30 but did some split controlled thing...
anyways, 15 of them were told 'you will become aware you are dreaming and realize you are dreaming'... 14 out of those 15 became lucid the first night they went to sleep....

so, if thats true... what about self-hypnotism? I'm going to go to barns and noble tomorrow, read some stuff about it then record my voice on the computer some 15-30 minute thing... then play it... hypnotize myself, tell myself that stuff...

then go to sleep... repeat till it works (or for a few days or so)

anyone have any idea's or suggestions? Think it'll work?

I tried hypnotizing myself with BrainWave Generator. "hypnosis" preset.
I dont remember If I went lucid or not, but I remember that it helped me in some way...

Hey, I'm reading this great book "Stop Sleeping Through Your Dreams."

The basic way to have an LD is to maintain a dualistic sense of perception in your mind, both in waking and sleeping state. This means to be aware of your experiences as you experience them. When we ordinarily dream without lucidity, we are single-minded, and do things impulsively most of the time.

Thus, we should try to be aware of our experiences and be aware of ourselves at the same time during the waking day. When this becomes a habit, it also becomes easy to Lucid Dream.

It seems like a difficult habit at first, but I knew that this method would work much better for me than most methods.

That actually makes a lot of sense Air.

I wish there was a simple, quick and easy way to become lucid but the fact is there isn't. Every method involves some dedicated effort usually, it's like life. You only get what you put into it (unless your bill gates, where you always get whatever you don't put into it).

I wonder is that really true? I mean I cannot see Lucid Dreaming being so easy to accomplish via hypnosis.. I think it just takes so much more than that.

But maybe perhaps its possible.

Lucid Dreamind is a form of hypnosis.
You are manipulating your thoughts to achieve a certain goal as you would with any other form of hynosis. The only differance is you are describing people that have it done and the rest of us who self hypnotise.

I had this idea and being fairly skilled with self-hypnosis tried it with the suggestion, "I will remember at least one dream where I realize I am dreaming a day." Well the first night after this and for six nights in a row afterwards I had lucid dreams. Mind you about three of these were barely memorable and I'm not entirely sure that those three of the six were lucid but I believe that they were. I also reinforced the sugesstion after nights where I didn't have lucid dreams if I remember correctly. I stopped having them after that and just Friday I did the suggestion again and I had lucid dreams three more nights in a row.
In other words it seems to work quite effectively if you know what you're doing and reinforce the suggestions regularly. It works fairly well for me, I only had them about once every couple of weeks before that. Mind you I still do reality checks when ever something weird happens as well. At the very least this technique seems to have made a large difference for me. :D
EDIT:I forgot to mention that ,unless I'm mistaken, MILD uses a form of self-hypnosis. I believe it's called auto-suggestion. You know the part where you say,"I will realize that I'm dreaming while I'm dreaming tonight," as you're going to sleep.

Hey guys, TRY IT ALL!

Use suggestion and look for signs during the day. Meditate and plant hypnotic suggestions into your mind. When you wake up in the middle of the night, practive MILD. When you wake up early in the morning, practice WILD.

I would sacrifice a chicken if I thought it would help me become lucid every night! :D

Hehe, maybe not sactifice a live one, but I would perform rituals using KFC chicken!!! :P

so in other words, think before you act, speak, etc.? huh...correct me if im wrong, but shouldn't everyone do that? i didnt realize nobody but me didnt do that already, cause if you always speak and act without thinking you're very likely to come off as a moron...

lol with your triple negative sentence there? ;P

anyway, I just see self-hypnosis as a way to implement these reality checks into your subconscious... obviously, the point of doing reality checks is to get it so you subconsciously do it and self-hypnosis basically directly puts it into your subconscious mind, so why shouldn't it be simple?

I used "brainwave generator" over the past 3 days.
"self hypnosis, complex sound preset"
As a result, I got 5 false awakening, 3 wilds (1 entry, 1 failed, one successful), 2 lucid dreams.

Looks like hypnosis and taking break from the forum works well for me.
