What the longest amount of time you spent trying to do a WILD only to give up because it wasn't going any where? Falling asleep doesn't count.
I think my longest was a little over an hour and a half, though I can't normally go longer than an hour, if that.
1 hour 45 damn minutes...It really pissed me off.
I'll have to say... 10 minutes. I decided to MILD instead.
WILD does take persistant practice though.
About 2 hours. I wasnt angry or anything.
Uh, about an hour or so too, yeah.
Not too long, usually about an hour or so. They start to add up after a while, though...
About an hour. I always reserve the time between 5:00 and 5:45 in the morning to work on WILD
hmm last night I had a strange experience twice... All of a sudden I felt a moment of clarity, pitch black infront of my eyes, concious, and a very strong sensation of falling. I thought, yay unintentional WILD, but it ended shortly after that, took like, 20 secs. A few mins after that, when I thought 'oh well' and tried to go to sleep I had it again... It feels like doing a WILD, but it just stops... wondering what the heck it is.
hmm maybe its sorta just before a wild........
does anyone notice if u try obe 2 nights in a row....the second time is much harder...
i spent bout 2 hours in semi pre wild state last nihgt...until i gave in and layed on my side.....but even then all i could think about was concentrating on it
IM BACK!!!!! ^_^ last night i tried for 2 h 15 m.... got kinda tired.... slept.. no joke lol
I've maybe gone for 30 minutes, to this day I have still not had a lucid dream >_< But lately I've been forgetting about it.
I've gone an hours and a half. The thing is I get to sleep paralysis sometimes and am about to enter the dreamstate when I am brought back due, to the fact I inadvertantly start focusing on the intense feelings I am having due to the paralysis....
Sometimes I give up after this and result to MILD or think I am aware enough to just fall asleep and later realize its a dream. It was the first weeks that I just kept going and ended up giving up after an hour and a half or so....

Three hours tops. It was a sort of WILDMILD conjunction with mnemonics and deep concentration. needless to say, it didn't work.
Yeh but even if you fail, its like meditation so you get even more rest then just sleeping. Well at least I do. 20 minutes of meditation and I feel more energetic than if I slept for 5 hours.
i want to WILD so badly! I'm going to try again tonight. Every time I try, I'm either far too awake, or way too tired. I wish there was a happy medium lol
It IS tricky! Sunday, I got as far as feeling the vibrations, got excited, and lost it.
I decided to just get up and cook breakfast!

i always give up after a while...usually because of the feelings i get on the onset of obe......then i focus on them and return to myself to say..........
but after a few months im getting better...i now enjoy getting lost in the void of my mind......lol

30 minutes to 1 hour is the longest i tried, i dont get angry when I fail, its goof fun to as someone said get lost in the void of your own mind. sometimes an awful image will flash into my head like a dying person, or just a really bloody scene, and i get scared and think there is somthing wrong with me. anyon elese get this?
yeh know exactly what you mean, ive had similar sometimes i cant remember but usually a teddy bear image or an old mans face which feels important....sometimes associated with a loud bang noise or startling flash of light......so yeh nothing ir wrong with u..ur all good mate ;)Quote:
