I started LDing in June on summer vacation. From then on I enjoyed a plethera of knowledge from this forum and had 9LDs in three months, which is pretty good. Now school is almost two months in for me and I haven't had a single LD, what's worse, I'm remembering less than 3 dreams a week. On the plus side, I'm now RCing every 45 minutes, but what's the use if you can't even remember your dreams. I really need help with getting back on track, and I know that man others can benefit from any advise that may be mentioned in this thread about countering the effects of school on LDing. It's getting really frustrating so please offer some advise to a poor soul. :?

I've been struggling with this, and I think the best answer is to keep a constant sleep schedule. Don't sleep 6 hours on weekdays and then 11 on weekends; try getting enough sleep every day so that you feel rested. And yes, this may involve going to sleep at 9:00PM if you need a lot of it.
Personally, I know that if I don't watch myself I will fall into this trap. I sometimes try to eek the most out of my day, and end up going to sleep around 11:30PM. I need around 9 hours to feel rested, and I get up around 7:00... so this is far too little sleep for me. I end up being too tired to try to recall the dreams in the morning, or I try to remember but my brain is clouded by sleeplessness. Either way, its not a good thing.
If you are getting enough sleep, I don't know what to say. Try setting your alarm an hour or two earlier? I know when I get up early and then go back to sleep (usually after failing a WILD), I get another dream or two out of that hour along with the one I was waken up from originally.
Either way, good luck. And remember, these tips work for me. They may or may not work for you. ;)
