Which would mean I would probably have to catch up with the times and become of the last people on Earth to get an iPod.
I don't know much about them, I wouldn't say they are "that" good because every one would be getting them and LDing.
I read some where that they also give people head aches if you listen to them for a while
Pfft, I'm not getting an iPod so you won't be the last person.
Anyhow, I've always been the type of guy who wants to do things on my own (from what I've heard lots of guys are)
LDing with one of those is like doing a backflip of a tramp, you don't really get the thrill of saying you did a backflip on your own! I don't know alot about the subject, but I do know you won't have the satisfaction of LDing on your own steam.
But all the same you won't be the last person on Earth to buy an iPod
No I-Pod here, and I doubt I'll be getting one any time soon.
I have a Proteus mind machine and I have to say I really like it. I don't see how I could use it specifically for lucid dreaming but if I come home from work stressed out it will definately get me relaxed to the point of feeling like jello.
I think they are more for teaching the brain to be able to achieve certain states easier (Alpha, Theta, or whatever)
Rich
P.S. I've never gotten a headache from using it.
Autosuggestion mp3s are probably a better bet; I haven't had success with the brainwave stuff.
The brainwave generator thingies are pretty interesting, even if you dont get spectacular results you may notice some change.
For example after listening to one I could feel my body swaying back and forth by 1-2 inches. This happened for 10 minutes or so and I expected to get out of my body, but that didnt happen. Ever since I may focus and actually recognize my heart beating and feel this swaying again. I'm not exactly sure what it is, most likely the feeling of my heart pumping blood through my body.
Well I have an iPod, and a brainwave generator program thingy. I've only used it once, for a sleep inducing preset thing (I've only had the program for like a day) and I put the thing in my ears, closed my eyes and listened to the sounds.
I was thinking to myself I wonder if this thing is going to wo-.... and the next thing I was waking up to my alarm. Only thing is I couldn't remember any dreams :?
And I did see a preset for ur brain entering the deep sleep phase but keeping you awake, although I haven't used them.
So I'm sure there is a way it can be used, if it works for me (I'll give it a shot tonight) I'll tell you!
