**First off, I apoligize to the moderators if I am posting this in the wrong forum.**
In the last few days, I have attempted to go from a relaxed / meditative state into a lucid dream. While I have yet to be successful, I have noticed a few patterns.
Methods:
I am using an audio file I found on this forum (can't pull it up right now to find the exact name as I bookmarked it on another computer) that is ostensibly a file designed to guide one into a relaxed state and then through to lucidity.
Results:
While I have yet to obtain lucidity, I have noticed that about 15-25 seconds after I finish the relaxation, my eyes either a) begin to dart back and fourth quickly (as if I am in REM sleep) or b) cross and look up. (I should also mention that my breathing becomes deep and rythmic during these tiems also.) I almost feel like my mind is aware but my brain is preparing to go into REM Sleep. Although I am not actively seing things at these times, I get a sensation of 3-D vision. (best I can drescribe it)
Questions:
Has anyone here had similar experiences?
Does anyone have any thoughts or advice on how I might get to the next level?
Thanks. :)

I've had only 3 Lucid Dreams, but if i felt my eyes rolling into the back of my head and crossing WHILE i was concious... i would freak the hell out! Two of my Lucid Dreams have been through the WILD technique, and the only mentionable thing that happens to me when i do that is an extremly bright light pops in my eyes, and when the light subsides - i'm lucid and dreaming. Its wierd.

I was too relaxed to freak out. I will however concentrate to see if I can create some sort of bright light withing the 3-D image that I see. Thanks hydro!

I used to use the third eye point as a focus for meditation and after I got relaxed and had good focus my eyes would cross and roll back in my head a bit. I've also heard of it happening to others during meditation as well so I think that part of your experience is normal. I can't speak to the rest of it though.

I have had the part where your eyes twitch and move rapidly. Sometimes it's going so much where I can't keep my eyes closed. Best thing to do is just relax completly. I know you said you were, but just seriously think "stop moving your eyes" and they will. Really, they will :) Works for me all the time.
