when i sleep on my back i can get to the point where HI start to kick in, but then my legs start to ache or i get an itch, so i shift, and i've completely lost it.
any ideas how to avoid this?

Continue reading information on it, and continue trying. When an itch comes scratch it without thinking, be impulsive. It shouldn't be a factor if you don't let it be a factor.
Also don't be discouraged it can take a long while to get it right. Don't think about doing it too much or you'll psych yourself out of it. Perhaps you're too awake or you become too exited. I would keep a log of what seems to work and what doesn’t.

Aye, just keep practicing, It took me like 10 - 15 tries before I got it right. And I know what ya mean about the itch, but as he said. Just be impulsive scratch it back don't think about it and keep doin what you were doing. And I hope you are doing WBTB or Possibly during a Nap.
