You would get up about 4-6 hours later. So, in your case, you would get up around four.
The time you stay up depends on person and technique you wish to use. Many seem to stay up as much as an hour to WILD. I have heard of some that stay up for as little as five minutes. As far as I know, you just have to experiment and find your own time.
thanks a lot. tonight ill try 20 minutes. if i try to WILD out of this, do you know how easily i would see HI? thanks a lot. last night i tried staying up for 10 minutes.. but just regularly fell asleep. it was REALLY dissapointing. in this 20 minutes if i keep doin RCs, would that increase my chances? thanks a lot!
The thing is, when new people join they tend to think everything is "strict" and you have these standard times - ie, stay up for an hour, then do this and do that. Wrong. Besides the fact it differs grealy per technique, it's also dependant per person. Do whatever feels comfortable for you! Sleeping for 4-6 hours is the ideal time before waking up, after that it's all up to you.
And how easy you see HI differs per person. Whilst one may not see HI at all, others may see it quite easily, and others might hardly see it.

As TweaK said, you have to experiment and find what works for you. You can use our suggestions as examples, but then you'll have to TweaK them. :content: If you are planning on doing MILD, try to get about 5 hours of sleep before waking up. Then stay awake between 15 and 90 minutes. I think LaBerge recommends 30-60 for most people. If you are planning on doing WBTB in conjunction with WILD, it might not be necessary. If you can wake up about 5 hours into your night's sleep without an alarm clock, you're probably best off not moving at all and trying to WILD. Although I have yet to successfully WILD, I have never lost consciousness and fallen asleep. I think that it helps to be as tired as possible, and WBTB would defeat the purpose. BillyBob_001's tutorial really helps for keeping your mind awake. The second method in the tutorial should answer all your questions about HI. Good luck with WILDing and may you be more successful than I have been.
For me it took years to develop the sleep patterns that envoke my lucid dreaming. Even now, small changes often occur depending of my waking patterns. Tweak is right though, it's NOT strict, and you have to develop the methods that work for YOU.
