if anyone remembers me from when I first joined, they maybe you will remember I've always had some sort of problem sleeping! Months ago when I had a shitty job I was really interested in WILDing. On my first try I had excellent results, I was interacting with HIs, and I could hear the characters in my HIs clearly. I felt like any moment the HI would become my dream!
But it was my first try, and I wasn't prepared for the next part - and thought an increased heart rate meant something was terribly wrong. I'm not sure if I can say if I've had any sucessful WILDs either - I have fallen into a sleep parlysis before becuase of my WILDing attempt. But the old witch scared me so much I forgot to roll out of bed :bigteeth:
After my first few attempts I had to stop my WILDing - partly becuase my vivid HIs were always my job, which I loathed, and also becuase I had to get up early to go to work, so I wanted uninterrepted sleep.
But that was months ago and now I dont have to get up early and I quit that shitty job!! Only problem is, I cant even do the first few steps of a WILD anymore  and I dont know why, that step was always so easy for me. All those vivid HIs that used to pour into my mind are gone!
has this happened to anyone else before? I really miss my vivid HIs, even if the WILD didnt work out the way I wanted it to, I still had a lucid dream later on! do you think I just 'forgot' how? or could there be other factors like different sleep patterns and such?

The first thing that came to my mind is that you probably were sleep deprived in the first place so it was easy to induce HI's and stuff like that. You get more HI's when you are sleep deprived so therefore it is a realistic conclusion to me.
Perhaps you can repeat that sleep schedule you had (or the average hours that you slept when you had your job) and keep it up for a week or so, I think soon you will find yourself being able to have HI's easily.
I get vivid HI's when I am sleep deprived. ;)
