Hi there.
I have been trying to get my first LD for about 2 years, but only about 6 months of serious trying.
While WILDing I usually lay there (after WBTB) doing the blinking or breathing as recommended by the tutorials, but I usually do this for about 30-60 min then get tired/bored and go to sleep.
The other scenario is I do the techniques then I let HI come, and it sucks me in and I fall asleep.
Does anyone know what I should do to not stay awake yet not get sucked into the HI?
Is HI usually a part of the transition? HI comes easy to me so tips involving it is ok.
I think this is whats holding me back.
Thanks!

one possibility is that u might be trying to hard.A few weeks ago i wanted to have a lucid dream but i didnt really care that much. almost every night i had like 5 dreams i could rember(few weeks ago). recently ive been
trying really really hard just to remember my dreams. so im going to just relax tonight and see where it gets me. I think we have been trying way to hard so we should just relax. write me tomarrow if it works
SWEET DREAMS!!! :dreaming:

30-60 minutes is a bit long. It's very hard to stay focused on task for that long.
Try to pick a pick a time where you'll fall asleep within 5 minutes when not attempting WILDs. Like times at night where you absolutley feel like crap and just want to go back to sleep (you have to difficulty having the motivation to even try to WILD and then you'll know you've got the right time).

lotta people wake up after 6 hours of sleep, think about LDs for 10 minutes, and go back to sleep. voila. it works.

Well some people just arent good at WILD, you should try something else if you like waking up at Rem periods, like WBTB. Or you could do the notorious FILD.
