Last night, I fell asleep will the intention of lucid dreaming. At 3 AM, I woke up, took 100 mg of B6, and then tried to WILD. I didn't succeed, as usual (WILD often fails because I fall asleep way too fast), and no interesting dreams happened until I woke up at around 7 AM. I knew, though, that more sleep would help, so I went back to bed. I'm fairly certain that's when a false awakening occurred; I was in my bed. I'm not sure exactly what I was thinking, but I was definitely not lucid, so I must have still believed I was in a dream, but I though "I want to get lucid!" I can only assume I was trying to WILD. I concentrated and obtained that feeling that my whole body was alive with nerve activity, but to my surprise I couldn't get lucid. I tried again, concentrating harder, but to no avail. I gave up and the dream fades from my memory after that.
It may be possible that the dream was real, and that I did wake up and try to WILD, but I doubt it for some unknown reason. My question here is, if I was in a dream then, and I was trying to get lucid with the same feeling I have always gotten lucid with, why didn't I get lucid?
In all of my 5 or so successful lucid dreams, I have never once even though about using a reality check, so I don't think that they necessarily work for me.

Lately I have been having FAs and then in my dream I will try to go to sleep and become lucid but I when I think I will become lucid I will go into another FA. It is hard for me to remember but I think thatgetting in the habit of doing a RC right after you wake up will solve this problem. Im still working on that one though.

yeah, getting into the habit of RCing when you wake up should solve the problem... even if you feel really tired and can't be bothered you could still be in a dream. Also, RC before every WILD attempt and also if you think the WILD has failed RC before you do anything else, this should help you catch any False Awakening's. Even if you don't use RC's at any other time of the day, using them to catch FA's can be very successful in attaining lucidity
Hope this helps
