Want into an LD?
Just use the front door :D
Admittedly this is only my third so I'm no master but this LD entry was different. Just posting it incase anyone can use it to visualise their way into a LD.
Previous two times I have experienced something very strange or impossible in the dream that made me realise it was a dream. I become lucid, in a dull sort of way, and fumble about wasting my time until I wake up :P
This time was diferent. I usually experience random images before I sleep some clearer than others.
Is this what is refered to as the hypnomagogic imagery everyone talks about?
Anyway, in the image I was walking down a residential street in a town near by. Everything looked fairly normal except I don't think the houses were exactly right, not werid, just not perfectly accurate. (I want to make clear at this stage I am still awake and just seeing this)
As I was walking past one house I notice the front door is open. It looks darker, only natural on a sunny day. But it also looks clearer somehow.
I just instantly instinctively know if I walk through that door I will be in a LD.
And I do :o :D
Not much to tell apart from more fumbling and time wastage :(
I realy need to work on my control and clarity :P ... might help to stop following strange women to their bedrooms

i think thats like the bridge stuff people use
i guess thats your way of telling your mind your lucid

Sounds like an unintentional WILD if I have ever heard one. Very cool... I want one. What were your emotions like during this WILD? Amazement? Anger? Sadness? or were you scared?

There was just a calm certainty that thru the door would be an LD
There were no symptoms of WILD, Don't you usually see a vortex? and feel sleep paralysis setting in? There were none of these. Never done a WILD so I'm not totally sure. My awareness, vividness and lucidity were no higher than usual :( but always good to be LD :)
I was not scared, just happy to be in LD and curious to look around the house. I think over excitement woke me up in the end :(
I was surprised afterwards because the entry method was so different from the previous two, and completely unplanned.
I have been in a bit of an LD dry spell recently and I have a theory about this too.
My usual induction technique is to give up for a few days, just stop trying.
But something must be increasing LD activity because I managed 3 in a month or so where I have had none for many years before that.
I think I had been inadvertantly doing a form of reality check, or to put it more precisely reality recognition.
I think that thinking about dreaming / perception / reality for most of the day may have lead me to naturaly question my surroundings in dreams and heighten my awareness just enough to help me become luicid those times.
I am curently trying something to get a thought pattern of awareness and lucidity established to see if this is a useful technique. I will post more if I get any results.
