Hi, I wasn't really sure what to name this topic - but I have been having what I like to call 'Chained Lucids' recently - Basically just a chain of 5 of more LDs in a row. Here are the details:
Firstly, I have never had a lucid dream during the night. The lucids I have only ever occur in the early morning hours, for example, on Wednesdays and Weekends (the days I have off) I tend to get up at about 7 in the morning, stay up for a few hours, and then go back to sleep for a few hours. Funnily enough, during this period I only have lucid dreams on the occasion when I have a quick shower during the time I'm awake, then go back to sleep (it sounds strange.....I'm not sure if its connected or only coincidence?).
Anyway, 9 times out of 10 I have these chained Lucids - where I will realise in a dream that I am dreaming, and then continue in this lucid state. The first time this happened, I was lucid for only a few minutes before 'waking up', but after a few times each dream can last up to about 20 minutes (and I usually have a minimum of 5 in one go). When I do wake up between dreams, I keep my eyes closed and I enter the next one within seconds. Its a really odd feeling - and the amount of false awakenings I have in this time is amazing - typically about 8 in an hour. So I keep having to reality check whenever I wake up from a dream.
Just informing everyone of this - I'm not sure if its a technique as such but I can fit a good length of LD time into this - and I am still only a novice to Lucid dreaming. I surprised myself this morning - I went back to sleep at 9am, and woke up at 11am, having had about 8 separate lucid dreams in between!
Any comments on this would be appreciated.
