Right , here's my question. Is there anyone here that can LD whenever they want or can LD more than 5 times a week?
I mean that's pretty much what most of us want , isn't it?
If there is anyone out there who can do this and/or pretty much mastered the art of Lucid Dreaming can you PLEASE tell us how you do it?
I've been tryin for a few months now , and all I can have are some DILDS which happen about 3 or 4 times a month.
Please help if u can.

With the exception of a person I remember seeing on here who was 'plagued' by lucid dreams every night ever since she had some traumatizing reoccurring dream when she was a child, I don't really know of anyone who is that consistent with them. I'm sure there are a few people on here that can, maybe I just haven't met them yet : )
People are different with lucid dreaming. There are some who will never be able to be that consistent with them, but others whole will get the hang of it with very little practice; it's all relative to the person.
Unless you are diligently practicing and experimenting with different techniques every night, you probably aren't going to have much more than DILDs; to the best of my knowledge. As for having a lucid three or four times a month, you're better of than myself; although I have been slacking a bit with reality checks, dream journal, etc.
Well, according to my journal, I've had 5 LD's in the past 5 days, which averages out to 7 a week, but there was a 12 day gap between the first LD in that series and the one before it. I can't really give too many tips on that, though, because my most effective method of inducing them is DILD, and that's pretty much just something that I've had, since I was a kid. I have been able to develop it a little, since then, by performing reality checks during the daytime and basically just suggesting to myself that I will realize when I'm dreaming, before I go to bed.Quote:

Maybe one reason is that I don't do the techniques very well, I do reality checks about 4 , 5 times a day. And I tell myself that I want to have an LD before I go to bed. i am not an evpert on DILD, but i can answer your questions. first, i would say that you should do more RC every day- that way it would program into your subconcious better. second, the only way you can get 5 in five (if you are a beginner) is if it comes naturally. for example, while i have my dryspells of controlled, i had like 5 non controlled lucids in two days-naturally.
i would say that you should say whatever you say a couple of times convincigly.
I *used* to be able to LD at will, multiple times just about every night a week before I started college. It was so easy, almost effortless. Overall, it lasted for about 4 weeks (August 2004)
But that was a lot of work. First of all I used to sleep a lot (10+ hours each night) and practice my personal techniques that worked for me. The number of factors that contributed to that amount of LDs was enormous. There were two techniques that worked for me - the dream reentry and the noninduction technique. You can find both on these forums somewhere. I've explained multiple times how they work, and I'll try again - it takes some time for these techniques to pick up momentum, and once they do, lucid dreaming becomes easy... I've done that a few times since and it lasted a maximum of one week.
I must say that my subconscious mind tried to prevent me from LDing, and it seems like it won by taking away my motivation - after being able to LD so easily, it is damn hard to push myself to commit to practicing techniques again...
I have a hypothesis - it is based on my childhood memories.
As a kid of 4-6 years old, I vaguely remember going to sleep every night and seeing the same kind of place/space. The place was like a "hub" or a starting point of all my dreams. The memory is so distant, it is not very clear. I think it was a circuslike tent or a black space with colorful paper stars. It seems to me that as a kid I had very poor recall or never bothered to recall my dreams until I was much older...
Anyway, the hypothesis is people are by default able to be aware of being in a dream, but since not many people actually think about this kind of stuff as kids, they dont practice and the ability slips away... Maybe the portion of the brain that was responsible for this is assigned to this becomes assigned to something else or becomes dormant...

Ev means my Dream Re-entry technique, in which they've posted a lot of their thoughts in.
This would be the best for beginners who want to LD lots, since no practice is really required if you already awaken from dreams in the middle of the night.
I don't LD five times a week all the time, but sometimes I do, sometime I have 0, others it would be 1-5, depending on if I use DEILD effectively.
Actually, my main flaw, when it comes to this sort of thing, is that I'm VERY undisciplined. I don't usually have any set amount of times a day that I'd do reality checks. It would, usually, just be whenever I thought about doing them. It all depends on where my mind's at. Sometimes, I'd do six an hour, sometimes six a day. Just about as often as the idea would pop into my head, to do them.Quote:

I just recently found out about the FILD (Finger Induced LD) technique and I'm gonna try it tonight. apparently some people has got quite a lot successes during the week using that technique. I really hope it works.
I've had about 8 ld's in the past five days, thanks to DEILD.
If I remember correctly, BillyBob (super-WILDer) can WILD whenever he wants, with success. He's the master of WILD, so it's not wonder. The best thing for you to do, if you wan't to have LDs all the time, would be to master WILD, or find geniue and wish for yourself to become a natural :)
although dream re-entery and dilds are cool and all, i agree that WILDs are the best way to become lucid at will. dream re-entery can only be done right after a dream. and dilds are just by chance. but wilds can be done anywhere if you get good enough.
I would like to add that deilds are a good way to learn wild.
Yes billybob can wild whenever he wants, so can a friend of mine.
I highly recommend you to try DEILD, it's pretty easy, quick and extremely effective. After discovering this technique my LD-count has increased a lot =)
I've still only had one lucid dream but I just found out the other day that my best friend lucid dreams all night, every night! And she had no idea that it was unusual! XD She has no secret for it though... If she finds out how she does it I'll post it here!
My friend's mom can do that. She thought everyone else could too, until my friend told her about LDing and that he was having trouble. (still can't convince him to join DV)Quote:
