Hello Everyone!
Currently im on Holidays so im gonna type fast. I am trying the WILD technique because I can sleep long. But I need some help. This is how I do it.
* I wake up, drink a glass of water
* Then I go back to bed and try the counting / breathinbg technique like "1 Im dreaming, 2 Im dreaming" etc.
* Then I just wait. But sometimes I can count up to 400 and nothing happens
Sure, I get some SP, but not too much. Sometimes only my arms fall asleep. And sometimes only my legs. I dont know if I should change my technique to watching HI or something? I really dont know. Sometimes It gets really frustrating just counting there and waiting and then nothing happens. Then I just give up and say fu** it!
So, what do you recommend should I try? I am willing to try anything just so it will work! Any, really ANY suggestions will be very much appreciated.
BTW. When I said about what technique im using I was following Billybob's tutorial in the Tutorial section.
Well, im off then, ill come check for your answers tommorow. Any suggestion ( stupid ones too ^^)
Thanks for answering and Goodbye!

I don't really like billybob's tutorial (meh)
actually I don't like any WILD tutorial on this forum
that's why I made my own WILD tutorial
it's not 100% yet, but I could send it to you by PM
---------------------------------------------------------------------
few guidelines below:
>get comfortable (you know how it works)
>get on your bed, close your eyes
>focus on something substantial (body, breath, external sounds, etc) (I wouldn't suggest focusing on your own thoughts, e.g. counting, since you can drift off or not get relaxed enough)
>stay completely motionless
>at some time, hallucinations will pop up.. simply acknowledge them and keep concentrating
>eventually you will enter Sleep Paralysis.. it will prevent UNINTENTIONAL movements, allowing you to leave your real body and be in your dream body (don't "test" to see if you are in SP, trying to move intentionally will make you move)
>as you are in SP, keep concentrating, until the hallucinations start to form a dream
>stay lucid as the dream is being formed
>congratz! you are in your lucid dream. enjoy
>perform Reality Checks if you wake up.. even if you apparently failed at WILD, it could be a false awakening
good luck, this is the summary of my tutorial with 10 pages
any doubts PM me

My problem is either concentrating too hard (and staying restless, or with just some HI), or falling asleep. The key is finding balance. I came incredibly close saturday morning, actually moving around in the dream. However, it only lasted briefly (just enough time to float across the floor, through the kitchen, knock stuff over, and attempt to fly out the window)...
I prefer watching my HI. Because I know that intense hypnogogia means I'm getting closer to WILDing, and keeps me motivated rather than frustrated.

well I don't really have much HI, and if I do focus on the hallucinations, I fall asleep.. I prefer to focus on my body until I get to SP, and once I get it, I don't really need to focus on anything to stay aware
anyway, I never managed myself to get a WILD, but I had some non-lucid dreams while WILDing
