Hey everyone,
I'm new - I recently discovered what lucid dreaming was, having had a few over the years, and was excited to find out that it is possible to increase the chances of having them. This led me to this great website, thanks a lot!
Anyway, I've garnered a fair bit of information, here is what I'm doing, just wondering what people think and if anyone has any tips that could help me to improve my chances of frequent LDing.
- I do keep a dream journal, only for four days so far, but I plan on keeping it for a month. The first night I had no luck, but from then on I've woken up after my dreams and remebered them, they are getting clearer and easier to recall - I'm having about 3 a night that I can remember. I usually awake at 4, 5:30 depending on what time I go to bed. What are the implications of awaking a few times a night - is that bad for me?
- I do frequent RC's in the real world, they aren't a habit yet but they are getting more habit-like.
- I have tried a WILD - I could feel it working (as described in the tutorial) but I got distracted and lost it.
- I'm having difficulty with MILD - I can only concentrate on a mantra for about a minute, then I get distracted! Any tips?
Sorry about the length of the post! Any help would be appreciated, thanks a lot!

You're off to a great start! Here my advice:
1. You say you're keeping a DJ, which is great. Don't only keep it for a month though, keep writing in it all the time. Waking up in the middle of the night is good, because during that time you can write down your dreams without forgetting them.
2. Keep doing the RCs and it will become habit in dreams, so good work there.
3. Good first try on the WILD, it takes a while to get them down pat.
4. I don't really do MILD, so 3 out of 4.
Good Luck! Keep it Lucid!

Thanks a lot, I'll keep up that DJ - hopefully I'll have a LD soon enough
