I have for some time been able to rest for a short time (during the day) and dream what I want, or at least about the subject I want, just by thinking about a scenario.
I do this as a short nap during lunch mostly. I'm wondering if this is a natural step to being able to WILD. Or if I almost am WILDing, cause I'm still alert to sounds and light changes around, or overall environmental stimuli. I'm not lucid in any way just dreaming in reaction to the thoughts and emotions of hte subject that I put on my mind.

when you sleep in the middle of the day how long do you sleep for?
-
Usually about 20-30 minuets. I don't always sleep during the day but sometimes I need to.
-
If you can dream about the scenario on your mind you should try thinking a lot about lucid dreaming before going to sleep or you should think about a room covered in the words "reality check" so when you dream about it it will make you do a reality check.
-
Sure, I understand that. I haven't tried using the words reality check yet but I have thought about LDing prior to sleep.
Cool, thank you dude, anything that might help is worth a try.
-
Are you sure youre not just vividly daydreaming? Because that happens to me at afternoons, especially after lunch!
-
MoD, No I'm not sure. I certainly feel like I'm dreaming.
dude, I tried your suggestion, but I didn't go to the same dream state as I usually do. I'll keep trying.

Just think about the room covered with the words reality chech all the way until you fall asleep. I think it will work. Sometimes I try to do it but i get to bored and start to think about something else, it depends on how dedicated you are.

Yea the room with reality check thing has worked for me before. I've also thought about a room with some friends waving at me and telling me to do a reality check and I'm dreaming, etc.
