:) Hi everyone,
I was just wondering if there was a way to train yourself so that REM would start much earlier than 90 mins. Could it start somthing like around 30 minutes. If that's possible it would be really useful I think.

:) Hi everyone,

Hmm, why are you wanting to do this?
It will probably be a challange to change your REM cycles for your nightly sleep, HOWEVER :) , taking afternoon naps should dump you into a REM state within 30 minutes. Perhaps you can give that a go>
Well, this is one of the advantages of wake back to bed. If you time it properly, you can hit REM almost immediately upon falling asleep. I personally consider the first 4-5 hours of sleep of little value to my lucid dream endeavors. I would suggest you read up on WBTB and the various strategies which can be leveraged.
hmm, my problems with naps are that i never lay iin a quiet place so i cant really get to REM sleep... its always just the beginning sleep for me because of all the distractions.
Seems to me that I never have good dreams when afternoon napping, I just sleep like a rock... BUT what that does accomplish is it gets me in to the "getting too much sleep" zone which always improves my dreaming. So napping generally improves that night's dreams.
