Excersise and WILD
Has anyone ever observed the effects of strenuous excersise on a successful WILD? I went for a bike ride before and came back physically exhausted, but not tired...it's difficult to explain. Anyway, I sat down and attempted WILD and I think I easily got to vibrations, but I could only feel them in my hands. I also had strong HI, I saw clear as day images, white dots resembling weeds, and some were green blobs that began to form into other clearer images. I didn't actually get to a dream. This is the closest I got to an intentional WILD in the afternoon. It rained today so I didn't get a chance to try it again.
Does excercise tire the body, but awaken the mind? How easy is it for you to WILD after excersise?

this should go to the research team. When did you try and WILD? with a wbtb or no? what type of excersise should be tried? this could be some great research :)

It makes sense to me. Your body had more of a reason to rest after being active like that. Very few of us in these modern times TRULY do enough throughout the day to wear ourselves out physically--the negative stigma many attach to their professional lives only makes it seem that way.
Since you were able to fall asleep quickly, you didn't take as big of a risk allowing your conscious mind to slip away from dominance and were able to easily identify the hypnogogic elements associated with the boundaries between waking and dreaming states.
There indeed might be something to this. Further study is highly recommended.

Nice idea, and I to think this should go to the research team. I've been doing sport all afternoon so I think I'll try a WILD.
Oh, and did u try it straight away or after some sleep?

I tried it right after I came home from my bike ride. A few hours before, I was doing some light yardwork too, so that could have added to it.
Well, today, I gave it another shot and I didn't really get anywhere. But, I'm still new to WILD (since 2005, i've been trying MILD for everything), and only had 1 unintentional WILD. If anyone who is great at WILD else wants to try this, feel free. You need to feel sort of tired after you excersise, but not so much that you hurt. I slept in the afternoon on my back with pillows propped up behind me so I sat slightly up.

well I came to this conclusion after trying WILD at different times
basically, I guess there are two ways in which your body gets tired - physically and mentally
physically tired is when you run for 7 hours (lol) and when you get home you don't even feel like moving. although your body is exhausted, your mind is ready for a challenge
mentally tired is when you take a 3-hour long physics test.. you feel drowsy and can't think too logically, not to mention possible headaches.. apart fro mthat, your body is restless and ready for some exercise
for WILD, being physically tired would be a hand, but being mentally tired would make things harder

So you get a great reward for keeping yourself fit

This sounds interesting. Over the summer break, I'll try biking or jogging a little while before I go to sleep. See if it has any effect.
