Was this a WILD?
Hi everyone, I'm new to this forum, but have been into lucid dreaming for a couple of years and loving it!!
Recently, I attempted the WILD tech. around 5:20 AM. I don't believe I actually stayed up for 30-60 min but just enough time to turn off the alarm in my room and keep my eyes open. Then I tried to relax and instantly I was in this white spiral and felt like my body was flying. Then my eyes opened and I was floating around in a room that was completely empty and in black and white and eventually I gained control of actions and was able to enter a fully lucid dream. This was by far the most realistic lucid dream I have had but have not heard of people going from sp to the dream almost instantly. It was a lot of fun though, I guess you could say it was 20 years long because I watched a tree grow to full height within a couple minutes. :) I will try this again because no matter how obvious some dream signs are, it has been very difficult for me to identify. Has anyone here had an experience like this?

To answer your question i think that could have been a WILD however i'm getting the hint that it could have been a false awakening, you could have awoken within a dream, turned off your alarm and then went back to bed and suddenly see lots of random things, and you said it was a vivid lucid dream, the mind can make things seem very real, i'm not sure where to go on this one, sorry.

I WILDed yesterday, after waking up and staying up for half an hour. By your account, it sounds like you did WILD successfully. So congrats! Count that as a notch on your tally of LDs! ;)
I experienced a WILD in which I observed a series of vivid hypnogogic images and scenes go by, until one literally engulfed me and placed me straight into a dream. I didn't even feel the onset of SP and just entered a dream and noticing the transistion, so I was able to say "Heh... I am dreaming" as I sat on this beautiful beach.
