The ticking of the clock....Tick, Tock, Tick, Tock...
It is incredibly, INCREDIBLY distracting for me, when I'm trying to induce a Lucid Dream.
Every time I try, at some point, my mind thinks "I wonder how long I've been doing this?" and then my mind will IMMEDIATELY focus on the clock, and it's near to IMPOSSIBLE to get my mind off of that clock, and each tick seems to get louder and it's REALLY annoying.
But then I don't want to take out the battery of my clock because then when I wake up I won't know what the time is and it would be a horrible hassle to have to reset my clock every single morning.
Anybody else have similar problems?
Anybody else have a way to stop my mind from focusing on the sounds within my room? Because it always happens when I feel that I'm on the very threshold of becoming lucid. :(:(:(
And if it's not the clock, it'll be the whining of the fans within my PC, or it'll be the clock from my brother's room (yes, I actually can hear it in the night) or it'll be the creaking of the window, or it'll be the cars driving past, and there always seems to be something distracting me, and the very second my mind focuses on something, that's it, I might aswell give up for that day because I'll never regain my focus.
I don't have earplugs.
