So I've been doing reality checks, but I've heard that WILD is a very effective method. I just don't get the exact way you're supposed to do it. Whoever knows please reply!

Firstly, I recommend these links:

http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...ad.php?t=30783
They are all WILD technique tutorials. Also, I recommend you read the book Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming by author Stephen LaBerge.
To summarize what the tutorials will further describe: WILD is basically where you lay down and fall asleep normally, except you intentionally remain conscious as the sleep process ensues. The best time to try this is after 4-7 hours of sleep at night, because you'll be in REM sleep at this point. You will eventually enter the dream state with no lapse in consciousness (if performed correctly).
Good luck
yeah just follow a WILD tutorial exactly the first couple of trys. If you find that somthing isnt working then change it, and keeping changing it till it works for you :D oh and use wbtb when you WILD it helps alot
I agree, read the tutorials. There are also a few in the Education and Research Team subforum that are worth reading.
Hii people, I just tried to WILD last night, and it almost worked!! But when I started seeing the colors, I realized I was forcing my eyes shut slightly and when I relaxed them, the colors left. Is anyone else having this kind of trouble?? And when I felt the sinking feeling, (and all of this on my first try!) I woke up, but not intentionally. When I feel the sinking feeling, do I still remain concsious of it, or just fall asleep with it? Does anyone know what I mean??
