Will swallowing saliva keep my body from falling asleep? If so, how do I stop it (besides breathing with my mouth open because that's really uncomfortable)?
While I am a total novice at LDing (never had one), from what I have read I would assume that since it is an involuntary function (such as breathing), it shouldn't interfere as long as you don't think about it. Feel free to jump in and correct me if I'm wrong ;)
actually, Once and only once, i spent a hellish time choking on spit till i could wake up. I was really relived when i snapped out of it. :)Quote:

This is my problem as well... Obsessing over trying not to think about when I need to swallow has ruined my past 3 WILD attempts! It's so frustrating, because the more I try not to think about it, the more my mind ends up going back there.
obsessing over it is alot worse than just swallowing. Swallowing has never ruined any of my WILDs, obsessing over things though, has.
Thanks for the reassurance, next time I'll make certain I just swallow and not think about it anymore.
