Sild
Sunburn Induced Lucid Dreams
Note: Works best for fair-skinned people.
Step 1: Go to the Caribbean or a place near the Equator.
2: DON'T PUT SUNBLOCK ON! This is a very crucial step.
3: Go on an all-day snorkeling trip. Try to stay with you back up.
4: That night blast the AC, sleep on your stomache, and don't have any covers so that your snazzy new burn* gets the AC directly.
5: If done right, you should feel as though you have a fever (hot but with chills) and will sleep light. A good RC is giving yourself a five-star. Just hope that you're dreaming.
*This technique may cause short-term pain and skin cancer in later life. Talk to your doctor about the risks of SILD before using this technique.

My very first lucid of any discernable length came about this way. The entirety of what I remember is lucidity. At first it was very dark and I thought I was in my bedroom in Sint Maarten, but then I saw some stout white knobs on a board in front of me. I knew I was supposed to turn them, but I was afraid that I'd wake myself up, as in my previous and first LD I though I was half awake so I moved my legsw to a more comfortable position but woke myself up. So I was afraid to move my arm to twist one but I eventually dd and then I can't remember anything after that.

A feasable technique but I think I'll pass! :p

Crap! And I was just in the caribbean for my honeymoon. Oh wretched fate!

Wow 0_0 the SILD sounds expensive :P
I have never gotten a sunburn in my entire life, and I have spent hours and hours and hours in the sun. So this would be impossible.
-
Interesting. I've actaully noticed more vivid dreams a few times i've gotten sunburn. Not everytime though.
You really don't have to go close to the equator to get sunburn, obviously. Hell, I remember getting a fairly bad burn, then two day's later we got 3 inches of snow. Heh, only in Minnesota.

I think I'll stay with FILD,DILD,MILD, or WILD. thanks anyway

When I saw "SILD" I thought it would stand for Sleep Induced Lucid Dremaing. Then I realized that would be a bit vague for an induction technique.
