Is there any way to train yourself to wake during your REM period? I was thinking maybe hypnotism. I haven't seen any solid topic on this, so I thought I should make one.

While lucid or not lucid?
I have found it is very easy to wake myself if lucid through a certain technique.
I developed this technique from when I was young and had many nightmares. All one does is blink very fast and deliberately and then start opening and closing your eyes as hard as fast as you can. This causes your waking life eyes to open and therefore you wake up. Very effective and easy to do.
As far as waking up during REM without being lucid, I do not know of a way, sorry. What would be the reason to need to wake up?
An alarm clock never fails since REM period sets in after about 5 hours so you could set an alarm to go off at that poing. There are also programs you can download to go off in sync with your computer clock. There is the "Fall Asleep With Covers Off" so you get cold at night and that wakes you up and you put em' back on this one works good.
There are a lot of things on the forums you just got to look for them.
I mean, I've seen people that say they wake up naturally after dreams. Is there any way to train yourself to do so?
I think I read that people wake up after every dream, but it's usually so short of a time that we go right back to sleep afterwards. In the morning when most people get up (11 AM - 2 PM) I like to keep going back to sleep and sometimes have a few different dreams. I wake up after each one, but sometimes I'm still too tired to actually get up and write it down.
