Could work, given that you can't get asleep deeply on flight... I never flew, but I had more then one LD while on train.
Be sure to bring earplugs. Otherwise... I don't see why not.
In my opinion it is about impossible to sleep comfortably on a plane every time I have done I woke up after a bit with a sore neck. Although technically it is possible let us know if it works.
What if you nabbed a pillow?
The seats don't go back far enough in my opinion to get a good sleep. A pillow just adds cushion.
if i had a dream on an airplane, it hink it would obviously be about the plane going down and crashing on an island...LOST
I've never been able to LD on an airplane. I did try to WILD on a few flights from the US to Europe, usually got as far as some serious HI before some jerk either banged the back of my seat or hit my arm on his way up the aisle.
Well it seems possible. This is a stretch but Seeker's problem could be solved by Bussines or 1st class. Not that it is worth the extra cash. However, it's worth a try.
Yea I'm flying in 6 hours.. (6 hours! holy shit I need to pack then get some sleep!) But I'll sleep some on the plane and then check back in.
If you can sleep on planes then it might be easier than in a bed. Personally I fall asleep easier but can't sleep as deeply while traveling, which is the perfect circumstances for lucid dreaming. Also, you'll most likely be woken up periodically during the flight and so if you can get yourself to think about LDing and go right back to sleep you'll have a good chance at some WBTB. Just put a note to yourself on the seat in front of you reminding you to try to go lucid so you'll see it when you wake up.
I've tried it, it's pretty much impossible. There's just too much noise and etc. all around you to fall asleep. Also, like Seeker said, the seats don't really go back far enough to feel comfortable.
A small quote froma 17 year old ex-boxer- new mixed martial artist which is me, i once said:"impossible is a state of mind" ofcourse u can out everything u have into it
Yes, it is possible, provided you can fall asleep and go into a state of REM, that is.
I've fallen asleep on planes before. Granted it wasn't that comfortable and I hadn't slept more than three hours in days, but it can be done.
Doh don't remind me... i once fell asleep like 40 minutes b4 landing, and well, while i was asleep the plane hit the ground and i hit the chair in front of me with full force even though i had the belt on...
That was LOL tbh....
and yeah i did have a lucid, whats funnier is the fact that actually when it ended the dream ended with me getting hit by a shovel.
Actually isn't this happening quite often to everyone? i mean like before we wake up we dream of something happening (like a loud noise appearing suddenly or someone getting into our room and stuff) and when we wake up, that stuff actually happens, but a few seconds later!
It's like future foreseeing
I LDed waiting for my plane, WHILE listening for my announcement.
Wow.. impressive Sloth...
I fell asleep and had some dreams on both of my flights but did not LD. I love sleeping on planes though because you are in the clouds! I always feel like clouds are like dreams the way they chaotically swirl around and morph into different ordered shapes. Actually the bonus on the this flight was that I awoke to some severe turbulance (I love it for some reason) and I looked outside and we were going through a really dark cumulous cloud..
Its possible, Give it a try
