WILD question
I've been trying to WILD for a couple of weeks now... lately I feel I've been getting close to finnally going into a dream.
I don't get HI really, nor do I hear any sort of sounds. But what is interesting is at one point or another I get this really intence feeling that one would get going down on a roller coaster. I don't feel my body and I also seem to be more aware of the back of my eyelids. The feeling comes in waves. While all this is going on at certain times I can really feel my heart pound, though not in my chest, more in my stomach. The feeling usually subsides (or maybe I just get deeper into it) and I just stay in this state of being barely conscious but not sleeping. I've tried to stay like that for long periods of time and nothing really seems to happen...anyway, I was just wondering what I should do now to transfer me into a dream... and if that rollercoaster / sinking feeling is sleep paralisis.

Well, my last WILD experience started with falling. Feels kinda good,, especially if you know that's WILD. :D
Rollercoaster feeling may mean that you are getting closer.
Unfortunately it's very hard to relax, once you know WILD is near.
I've just realized that, most of my WILDs were unexpected - I regained awareness at the moment of WILD onset...
It may be the problem - once I get first signs of WILD, I tend to take control of my breathing and it just pulls me out of transition phase.... :(

All I have to do basically is try to stay detached from the feeling in my body t'ill suddenly the dream will click on? Do the "waves" get faster and/or more intence as you get closer to the dream world?
-
I know what you mean with the eyelids and rollercoaster feeling! However, I havent ever experienced not being able to move my body.
I think the technique to enter your dream is patience...just wait a while and you'll start to drift off into thoughts which will progress into dreams.
Ive never had a succesful WILD, so that is just my guess

Usually, all of the sensations, rollercoaster and vibrations, occur while I am transitioning into sleep paralysis.
Once they have have subsided, I get a gentle sinking feeling for the last few seconds as I enter the dream.
-
What are you generally thinking of as you transition into the the dream?[/quote]

Seems kind of weird, but I am kind of coaching myself along. It usually goes something like this:
"Hmm, vibrations starting.."
"Getting stronger, relax and go with the flow"
"HI starting to fade, relax"
"I said RELAX!!"
"Oh crap, vibrations are fading too, watch the HI and don't force it"
"OK, better now, vibrations getting stronger"
"Hey, that pattern floating by there is interesting"
"Holy crap, vibrations! almost too intense, pulling me along. "
"Vibrations fading, good. time for the sinking to start"
"Sinking, relax and enjoy it, don't open your eyes yet"
"Sinking has stopped, open your eyes, gently though, you don't want to open your real eyes."
"Hmm. am I dreaming? time to do a few reality checks"
"It WORKED! Great!, oops, too excited"
"*spinning* INCREASE LUCIDITY!, INCREASE LUCIDITY!"
"Whew, that was close. "
"Well, what was it I wanted to do tonight :D "

so what you do is after the vibrations die down, you open your "eyes"(not your real one's ofcourse)? Do you see the blackness of the back of your eyes before you open them and could it be that I reached that state exept I kept my eyes closed?
-
On one occasion, I was watching the HI as I was entering. It took the form of a butterfly and I was watching it flutter it's wings. This stayed active the entire time and I just looked up from the butterfly into my lucid world.
The rest of the time, I will end up in blackness at the end and have to open my 'eyes".
Once it was blackness throughout the entire process, but most of the time, I have vivid HI during the vibrations that fades to darkness as I "sink" into the dream state.
-
When you open your "eyes", generally, are you standing in your LD or do you have to move yourself from the position that you were WILDing in.
-
Never really thought about that... Standing.
Isn't that strange?? How about the rest of you?
Laying or standing?

on my most recent attempt at a WILD i managed to keep up the concentration for a while... The thing is, i just saw HI and heard a few sounds for a long time, but i never saw anything even remotely solid in the HI :(... after a while of that tho i reached this period in which i felt like i needed to change my bodys postition but i was still asleep :? so i moved around a little bit, saw more HI and i think i gave up after that. wonder what went wrong?
