FILD(Food Iduced Lucid Dream) and GILD(Gum Induced Lucid Dream)- Need Testers

here's two techniques I came up with yesterday after chewing some gum:

A- Can be done before bed

B- can be done any other time during the day

Both of the techniques are really the same but since I had gum on my mind first and the FILD came later , I seperated them.

      GILD(Gum Induced Lucid Dream)
A(before bed)- If you have gum, get a piece and before you go to bed say with fierce belief, "Chewing this piece of gum will grant me one joyful lucid dream tonight". Chew the gum and spit it out when desired and go to sleep thinking that you know you'll have a lucid dream. Repeating the phrase is good to get in it your mind

B(any other time)- Get a piece of gum and anytime during the during the day say with fierce believe, "Chewing this gum will grant one joyful lucid dream tonight". Try not thinking about it too much after that but just know you'll be lucid dreaming tonight.

If your skilled at talking to your subconscious, then you can kinda make out real life lucid gum by(if you have different flavors of gum) seperating a gum flavor and say one flavor will give you blurry lucid dreams(I know most don't want that but it's just an example) and another flavor will give you full-control lucid dreams.

      FILD(Food Induced Lucid Dream)
A(before bed)- Before you go to bed, with any type of food with fierce belief say,"Eating this_____ will grant me one lucid dream tonight". Go to bed with knowing you'll be lucid dreaming tonight.

B(any other time)- Get a piece of food during the day and say with fierce belief,"Eating this_____ will grant me one joyous lucid dream tonight.

Skillful Subconscious Talkers can do the same thing mention above with other food

I know both techniques pretty much a variation of MILD but it's good to give it a try especially since your eating and chewing which I believe makes MILD Lucid dreaming much easier. It's like your sending a message to your brain with food.

I'm not really interested in testing these techniques, but they do look quite effective. And by the way, the acronym FILD is already taken (Finger Induced). How about EILD (Eating Induced)?

EILD sounds good. I'll try it. I'll tell you how it goes.

Hate to burtst your bubble, but I am 100% certain that neither of these will work.
What is the difference of this than from any other LD technique where you tell yourself that you will have an LD.

I don't see how chewing gum and eating food would convince anybody that they will have an LD any more than saying they'll have an LD because they can see into the future.
Like me, personally, I don't believe for the life of me that I could take a piece of gum and magically make it so I'll have a lucid dream if I eat it.
Sure, you can say to yourself that you believe it, but your subconcious still knows you can't.

Its kinda dumb, for lack of a better word.

Not true. It's pretty much just subconcious suggestion Swikity. The gum/food are just placebos like in the lucid pill thread. While this isn't a completely new idea, it is an interesting variant.

Yes, but it is extremely unlikely to work, because it's so ridiculous. Nobody can truely believe in chewing gum making you lucid.

Also, the fact that the topic maker didn't even test the technique, pretty much defeats it's usefulness, as in, nobody will try something, that nobody knows works or not.

Oh, and if you want the EILD/GILD technique to work, you should not read the text above

The whole idea is pretty bright, yet very few people are actually able to make EFFECTIVE auto/self-suggestions. So a good Tutorial on the "How it's done" of Auto-suggestion would be most desirable.
Luminous Spacious Dream Masters That Holographically Communicate
      among other teachers taught me

not to overestimate the Value of our Concrete Knowledge;"Common sense"/Rationality,
for doing so would make us Blind for the unimaginable, unparalleled Capacity of and Wisdom contained within our Felt Knowledge;Subconscious Intuition.

Yeah, I'd like a tutorial about that too. I've always had problems with auto-suggestion, so something like this might do it for me.

      wow I haven't posted in a while.

I, tomorrow, will post a tutorial on How Autosuggestion is Done since through it I can achieve Lucid Dreams almost everyday.

Okay, so these (identical) 'techniques' are just autosuggestion with a placebo. They could work, but it's certainly nothing new. Some guy wanting to be able to tell people he "invented a technique". But oh god the acronyms make it stop.

Please, please stop making up -ILD acronyms for every little 'technique' you have concocted. Especially if you haven't even tested it yet.
I think archdreamer's sig says it best. I'm still kind of new to this site, so perhaps I shouldn't be criticizing, but come on! I see like 2 new "ILD" techniques every day. "Gum Induced Lucid Dream"? Seriously?

Yeah, so they say in the movie "What The Bleep Do We Know" and everyone knows most of the stuff they say is entirely made up or completely inacurate.
They say that if you truly believe you can do something, you can do it.
But you can tell yourself that eating a piece of food will cause you to lucid dream, but your subconsious knows it won't happen.
We know that they are wrong in this movie when they say you can do anything if you truly believe by one simple thing:
Have you never heard of a crazy person or a drug addict juping off of a roof because they thought they could fly? If you were that serious to jump off a roof, I doubt that even their subconcious knew they couldn't.

Haro, don't bother making the tutorial on autosuggestion.
I mean, nobody really needs a tutorial on autosuggestion.
But it's a good thought that could lead somewhere with some extra thinking.
Don't post a tutorial on something without doing some reseach and seeing if it actually works on anybody but yourself.
And this isn't autosuggestion, it is mainly trying to tell yourself that eating a piece of food or chewing gum will give you lucid dreams, and everyone in their subconcious knows you can't.

The only real autosuggestion that works for me is audio autosuggestion, such as in a hypnosis mp3 or the like.
