I'm concerned about Sleep deprivation

Does sleep Deprivation help you conquer any sort of WILD or VILD?

>I mean Since you get so sleepy when you have lack of sleep and all. Why not go with that? So what do you guys think?

Could it be a Key to WILD or VILD easier especially since you tend to fall asleep faster and less effort to remain awake for so long just waiting for the vibrations and feeling body shift ect..,:confused:

I figured Since your body is so sleepy, it'll just tend to turnoff(Sleep) every time you Deprive and close your eyes for a few sec.

SO I really need some opinions on this. If this method does Work, everyone can get a firsthand try: So guys lets try and make this understandable for others too.

I don't think that sleep deprivation would be any help with WILD. Sure, your body's tired and you'll go to sleep quickly, but your mind is just as tired, and the chances of WILDing without just falling asleep are slim to nil.

I actually tried the sleep deprivation method last night.

I stayed awake for 36 hours and then attempted to WILD. Normally I end up lying in bed for hours when I WILD so I thought the sleep deprivation would make it a lot easier. I only tried for a half hour and to no avail. I then just went to sleep normally.

I want to experiment further on it and might try again at another time.

The idea behind on it is that sleep deprivation causes you to miss REM sleep and your body makes up for that when you finally do go to sleep by entering REM very quickly. Hence, supposedly making it easier to enter into the dream state.

There are people on this forum who have reported tremendous success with this method, so I would sugest trying it at least once. The hardest part is finding ways to keep from getting bored throughout the night.

Here is how you might gain some success with it. From Castanada's books: Sleep in an upright uncomfortable position while sleep deprived. Such as, get real deprived, sit lotus style. Put a pillow on your lap, and rest on the pillow (still sitting upright). You will be so uncomfortable that your sleep will stay very light, the sleep depravation will however make it so you sleep. You may find lucids easier this way, I did have success, but it is alot of effort and hard work.

It works for me, although the sleep depravation isn't on purpose... well, if you dont count drinking beers with the guys...

WILDed a couple times that way.. out all night, sleep, wake up at normal time (about 2-3 hours sleep), then try to WILD in the afternoon. If that doesn't work and you just nap, normally I can WILD going to bed that night, right away.

You have to stay awake for over 7 days for it to kill you I have been awake for up to 5 days and the only consequence I experienced was sleeping for a very very long time. Just make sure you eat and stuff other than that nothing bad happens.

I had insomnia due to a medication I used to take so I was awake for about 2-3 days at a time and experienced no negative side effects from it so I think it is safe to say from my exoerience that nothing bad happens from being sleep deprived for a day or two it's once you start getting drastic like going past 7 days that you may experience some negative side effects but I have gotten to the 5 day mark and nothing bad happened.

From my experience with being sleep deprived you have really long vivid dreams.
