      SleepDeprivation+Hashish+WILD Help?

Okay so I had a close encounter with WILD. Near success, but not quite and I need a little help and advice from some of the successfull WILDers around here.

Last night I stayed up very late and went to bed around 04:45 in the late night. I had smoked Cannabis and Hashish that day but th effects had long worn off. Not intending to go on any particulair "Lucid mission" I decide to smoke one more hashi before going to sleep to make damn sure I would sleep fast. I smoked it and got really high, felt SP up to my chest while just having finished the hashi. (conditions are: Hashis + Sleep Deprivation)

      SLEEP:
So I close my eyes and quite rapidly drift off to sleep. I am still aware, but after just finishing the hashi my body was allready NEARLY completely in SP and was numb all over, but it needed to progress a little more to be completely paralysed. Suddenly my thoughts get hazy and a tad bit random. I come back to my lucid Intention on a quite resourcefull way: I think" Lucid Dream! Lucid Dream" in a very enthusiastic way and it worked.

Here I have 2 mini dreams:
Now I'm starting to percieve visions. very intricate patterns and colors briefly turn into scenes and out of nowhere I am on a vague Dreamscene(Like weak Dia-Projector images). It was a downtown street scene and suddenly a Guy passed me from behind me on the left side. He looked at me and his face was completely distorted and kept morphing like you would see someone's face moving behind a wobbly surface thick, clear glass. I suddenly realise that this is a DreamScene, allthough a very faint one. It's gone in an instant and replaced by quite an impressive hypnagogic color-light storm.

      Second mini Dream:
I am walking down a street and this time the visual detail has been greatly enhanced. It is at sundown and I am walking a narrow pavement with this same guy. He was smoking a Joint or a cigarette, finished it and threw it away while laughing. I realised again that this was a faint dream and tried to get deeper into the Dream, but here's what my problem is:

I don't know how to get myself Deeper into the Dreamstate. So eventually I just hung in there thinking about what to do to enter the transitionphase and gave up not knowing what to do. These DreamScenes would very quickly disappear as I became aware o the fact they were dreams so I had little time to ,somehow, deliberately enter deeper into the Dreamstate from there. And so I rolled over a couple of times and ended up falling asleep unconscious anyway. Too bad. Maybe I should try lying still in 1 position no matter what next time.

      Here's my Question:
Can anyone tell me if there are any effective, practical methods to get yourself deeper into the DreamState when you are in such a mini dream as I described? Any help, methods and personal techs would be greatly appreciated.

When I used to smoke it I had the same kind of dreams in other words they weren't worth telling. But dream stabilization can make the dreams more vivid and "user friendly" which seems like what you were having a problem with focusing on a specific point or reaching down and touching the ground and observing whats going on around you is also a really good stabilization technique that can enhance the vividness as well as the clarity of the dream.

The Hashi might of been why the dream was a bit blurry or low quality, but the above might help a bit.

Yeah, had I pre-planned to attempt WILD than I wouldn't have smoked that hashi. Thanx for the reply.

So you suggest that focussing on a specific point or observing surroundings carefully will enhance the realism of the dream? Will it become more immersive?

I think I know what you are talking about. I have realized I was dreaming while in a very low detail dream, or mini-dream like you said. I think it's pretty difficult to make those really vivid and to enter them fully, so I wouldn't really worry about it.

The suggestions Brandon made are like the technique of looking at your hands. Focusing on something in your dream can help create your surroundings and ground you into the dream.

One thing I try to "feel" before trying to do more things in my dream is the feeling that you can move your head. Most of the time in "mini-dreams" I cant move my head so I know I'm not fully in the dream. So I guess my advice is to try to keep the dream visions going and get to the point where everything becomes bright and you can move your head.

Yes I suggest focusing and observing the surroundings this greatly enhances the detail, vividness, clarity, realism, and will make your dream easier to get around in just like real life so yes it will become more immersive.
