Hey, me (again). I've been away for awhile, with my first real job, friend problems, my own problems, and other stupid sh*t.
I haven't LD'D in a l o n g time, so, I figuired I'd 'cheat' a bit, and ask DV members to tell me what THEY do to become lucid.
Please, with a cherry ontop?

You can't really cheat to get an LD. By cheating you'll just make it less probable to get one. All you have to do is pick a method, stick with it for a while and try around if it doesn't yield the desired results. All the methods are out there, you just have to start using them. Doesn't really make a difference if people write them down here for the 10,000th time.
Generally a healthy, relaxed psyche with a strong, conscious and responsible ego are good factors though. Your chances to go lucid are higher if your motivation isn't in conflict with your real life (as in escaping reality) but rather, in accord with your real life (as in using an LD to solve problems or to explore yourself).
So, basically, live consciously and practice mindfulness and authenticity in real life. Record your dreams, interpret them and collect dreamsigns. Use a basic method and you should be good to go.
That's only my opinion though. All the methods are out there. :)
Hi...Hmm...cheat. I wonder what I'm about to propose to U is cheating or not...;). There are 2 ways to 'cheat' I guess, but both use WBTB and depends on Ur desire and faith.Quote:

Method 2 - Dream Rehersal Induced Lucid Dream...basically what it says, U rehearse the dream which leads U to do an RC. Think of a scenario. For example U wake up from bed and U reach for a light switch but the light dosen't work..what do U do? U immediately reach for Ur watch,nose..etc and do an RC. Lights are the best for this because they can be rigged to not work properly and U don't care if it's rigged or not. Just do an RC when it dosen't work. I had 2 lucids within a week plus of using this method because it will result in the same thing in the dream or similar where the lights fail and U remember to RC only this time it's for REAL.
