Advise on HI/HS and dream transitions needed.

Okay guys, need some advise, possibly from you WILD'ers. The last couple of nights I have been working on a technique which combines DEILD/WBTB/WILD and it has had good results so far giving me 5 lucid dreams in 2 nights. But last night something REALLY scary happened!!

After my 3rd lucid dream, when I woke up, I performed my DEILD/WILD and this time before getting into the dream, I for the first time experienced hypnotic imagery and hypnotic sounds. It was kind of in two stages and really did scare me. I was in bed after just waking up from an LD. I repeated my steps as I had done earlier in the night for me DEILD/WILD not really sure what it is, a combination of the two really, but this time, before getting into the dream it felt like I was almost tumbling or spinning in my bed, felt weird but went with it, then this loud ghostly noise appeared and I started rising, moving up faster and faster, and I got flashing images of ghost like faces and what looked like the grim reaper! These noises going louder and more faces started appearing, it really felt like I was dying and I immediately struggled to break from this and wake myself up, took a while but did it. I was quite scared, and ready to give up on my dreams that night but thought I would try again...

In the second stage it was ok, I felt the tumbling again though, like I was falling and spinning in my bed, I had some sounds, quite constant and loud. I don't know was going on it was so weird as never experienced this, then when it levelled out the images of a dream were appearing and I knew this was my mind building the dream scenario for me, and then kind of forced myself to take control trying not to wake myself up, and then I was in the dream again. It had never really happened like this before, but I found it easy to create the scene, and then effortlessly putting myself in there already lucid.

Being a normal DILD/DEILD lucid dreamer I have no real experience with WILDs, but have been incorporating some of the WILD elements into my DEILDs which has bought me a lot of success, particularly finding the WBTB part helping the most!

I guess what I am asking is all the above a normal part of the transitional phase from creating the dream scene to being in the dream, and this HI/HS I experienced, that is normal too right?

I don't remember any normal dreams last night, they were all LDs.

      Thanks Guys!

Well DEILD is a WILD. So anyway... there is nothing normal or "real" here, it just differs from person to person and everybody is right. The WILD HI I see are always different. The first time I was engulfed in a tunnel of light and was flying through broken mirror peices, the last time I was flying through a dark tunnel past random HI like orange kittens (cute), radar screen, witch, a horse head (this one was opening and closing his mouth like it was going to eat me).
I never managed to create a sceene while in transition phase though, I always end up where I left when I woke up (in bed most of the time). Actually I get sent to my bed whenever I become lucid... but that's not important, although it suck big-time .I do hear a noise, usually like static on a TV etc. There are also those flying sensations. You're as normal as anyone else

hey thanks for your reply DEILD and WILD are similar but not the same thing. WILD is typicalled predecated on you waking up and getting out of bed, where as my understanding of the DEILD is literally as you awake go straight back to sleep.

But thanks for you reply, it just freaked me out as had heard of this HI/HS and never experienced it before. Just hope its a little easier to swallow tonight

The way I understand it is that WILD and DILD are two types of LD inductions. All other techniques fall under one or the other category. DEILD, to me, is a WILD, since it involves waking up and going into a dream consciously. Even if the whole thing lasts a few seconds. On the other hand a MILD (for example) is a DILD type, since it induces a LD in the dream itself.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but that's how I remember/see it.
