What happened?
So this was a weird moment. I was trying this out with the FILD and I felt a tingling sensation over my head. I kept trying to move my fingers to stay awake. However then I felt that I was at Great America on the Grizzly rollercoaster. Except it was going in reverse order. And then as everyone started screaming half the dream became a blank. Sorta if like half your monitor was gone but right in the middle was a fuzzy line-ish thing. I then realize This is a Dream!! But I don't know what happens next. I think it was another dream about me attaining Lucidity. Same tingling and a ringing sound in my ears. I then try to pop up but fail to see anything. So I gave up, and went back to my body I assume.
Next thing that happens was a False Awakening I assume? I drag my butt off the bed because I wanted to come here to post about this tingling experience in my head and the ringing sounds. I refreshed the page and went to turn on my lights near the monitor when it didn't work. I went as I reached for the lights as it flickers and I hear the same ringing(sorta like when your ears ring) and I go oh crap it's a dream as the ringing continues and the dreams fades out.

Well you had lucid dream, but it looks like you have lost lucidity a few times. It sometimes happens that you lose lucidity or that you level of awareness isn't stable. In the future you may have better luck. In any case, to maintain and improve lucidity you can try a few techniques, such as rubbing your hands, spinning, saying to your self again and again that you are dreaming, and observing your environment carefully with all your senses: for example, try to feel texture on surfaces such as walls, and look closely at it.
Also read some of the tutorials on this site about maintaining lucidity.
Good luck LightningBlade!
