Trouble Remembering
For one night, I experienced 2 LDs. 4 days have past now, and not only have I failed to gain lucidy again but, im having the hardest time remembering my dreams.
Im keeping a Dream Journal, but i cant write my dream 'stories' down, just pretty much make skattered notes on things that i remembered seeing. I can't remember any plots and only vauge recall of scenes.
I'm also asking myself during the day If I'm dreaming, like the tutorial says.
Even when I wake up during the night, i almost feel like I didn't dream at all. But after laying there for a minute, I can recall the vauge descriptions that I explained above.
Whats going on???

Scattered notes are better than nothing. My last dream journal entry looks like this...
"I talked to a guy (I don't know who) and he was sitting on stairs. Then something happened and I talked to a girl. And then something happened and I talked to a different girl inside a wooden shack."
Boom. That's it.:D

Haha, i guess I'm making some progress
Two other things I forgot to mention in my original post.
One of these nights i dreamed of my mother, who is passed away. Instantaneously i realized i was dreaming, and just about as fast I woke up. I Guess i became just a little too excited. I dislike having these dreams about my mom, because they leave me feeling weird when I wake up in the morning, so I'm glad I woke up from that one.. Would of been kinda hard to tell your mom to go away after you gain lucidy eh? lol
Furthermore, I have been telling myself that I will wake up and remember my dreams throughout the night. And its working, I'll awake 3 times during the night just about, and each time I'll have vauge memories of different dreams, i guess from each of my REM cycles. So this is not my problem for remembering..
I smoke a little greenery every now and then, (never right before bed) . But I feel that maybe If i quit this i'll be able to remember more. Has anyone had this problem?

Hey there,
There's a lot of good stuff written on dream recall all over the forum. Do a quick search on "recall" and I'm sure you'll find plenty of great tips.
Here's two quick tips though:
- Make sure you're paying enough attention to your dreams! This can sound paradoxical, but you'd be surprised how easy it is to get so focused on 'having to remember dreams' and 'having to do this and this technique', that your focus is on the idea of dream recall rather then on your dreams itself. Sometimes it helps to take a step back, just appreciate and pay attention to what you have, and not bother or stress yourself over what you feel you 'should be having' or what you don't have.
- Work with what you have. We all have this myth in our heads about what is a 'good' dream and what is a 'bad dream'. A good dream is very visual, has a theme and a plot, and preferably lasts a while. A 'bad dream' is vague and inconsistent, and we generally don't remember seeing much of it.
It's a myth. There's no such thing as a bad and a good dream. Not all dreams are visual. Some dreams are just a thought, just a feeling, just a sound. Some dreams are very intense without having a sensory element to them at all and you wake up with a strong emotion. Pay attention to these too.
Work from the ground up. Think about your dreams, write them down, don't dismiss the ones you feel don't fall within your expections. Appreciate and recognise the dream for what it is, and if possible, linger on it a while. Do that and you'll likely see your recall increase sharply again.
Hope that helps!
