No, they have not helped me LD yet then
My first and so far only LD was triggered by a nose plug RC <3
Just do enough RC's until its a habit and use the nose plug RC.
Yeah but has that actually worked for you? It seems that everyone is getting caught up in different techniques besides DILD that I haven't heard of people really using nose plug for a while...
<What times in the day should reality checks be done?>
Definitely upon waking-up incase it is a false awakening, and at many other times during the day-although I am guilty of not checking enough.
<How often?>
About every 30 minutes or more often.
<What are the most effective checks?>
Checking the time (although this has failed for me in a dream-time stayed the same) looking at writing, finger through hand, nose-plug.
<And when you ask yourself if you are dreaming, and you know you are not, do you finish off the RC by stating to yourself "I'm not dreaming, I'm awake."
Basically yes, I say "Am I dreaming? does everything look normal? Yes, then I must be awake."
HI
<What times in the day should reality checks be done?> Anytime, specially just after you wake up
<How often?>
As often as possible
<What are the most effective checks?>
For me the one in which you check a digital watch, then cover it ad then check again.
Or reading something twise, to si if it change.
<And when you ask yourself if you are dreaming, and you know you are not, do you finish off the RC by stating to yourself "I'm not dreaming, I'm awake."
If you think you´re not dreaming, but you still feel something strage, try to do another reality check.
meh, rarely. 6 a day maybe for hand check. mental RC's about 20.
-It should be throughout the day, with most of them toward the evening and night is my experience.
-Once an hour or as often as you can remember.
-My personal opinion is the hand RC and reading then rereading text b/c its most discreet and effective(It's good to do two different RCs in a row just in case)
-After I see it's not a dream sometimes I say to myself, "no im not dreaming." sometimes not, you just have to kind of be mindful when you're doing it, and try not to rush it.
I periodically do reality checks throughout the day, mostly the finger counting one, but I have never done it by habit in a dream and gone lucid...
When I suspect I'm dreaming I always count my fingers, which has worked for me several times, but once, the dream was so vivid that I had the correct number of fingers, though dreaming, then I did the clock check and it worked. I always do the clock check if I see a clock, and always do the finger one initially but it doesn't always work.
A lot of great things in here, I was wondering how often checking would be excessive or too little. :D
Let's get started tonight!
I find that the nasal passage block reality check works best for me since I do not have to really move to do it. I do around 60 checks a day
