Dreams will involve either what you think when you are asleep (yes, you do think when you are sleeping, but really slowerly than in waking life) or subconscious experiences which have been occuring lately.
You can force yourself to dream what you want to using the MILD technique, but instead of using it to become lucid, you use it to dream of what you want to.
What you should do is to make yourself understand that you want to dream about this or that.
Just like when you tell yourself "When I get home, I'll phone Andy" and, when you get home, you remember of it; you should tell yourself that, when you are dreaming, you'll want to dream of this or that.
That way, you will force yourself to dream of what you want to. It works far better than it seems, believe me.
