I can have a lucid dream but its hard for me to have one, or to control one.:(
I had one lucid dream and it was really short but heres how it went. I was on Itunes and realized the screen was blurry I then decicded I was dreaming so I made the whole screen go white. Then I woke up, possibly of excitement.

There are plenty of great methods there. If you are just starting, I would suggest WBTB + MILD as it seems to be quite popular. But try out a few and see what works for you. You might even come up with a method of your own.
No matter what technique you try, remember to make dream recall and reality checks apart of your daily routine. Dream recall will increase the vividness of your dreams, and help to ensure you remember any lucid dreams you have. Reality checks are good even if you are using a WILD technique, because they safeguard against false awakenings.
