I am having trouble with WBTB

I'm having lots of free time so I've tried couple of times to WBTB. At last night I went to bed around 5:00AM and set the alarm clock to beep on 10:00AM. Well I woke up, switched the alarm off and got up of my bed (for one hour), ate something, read a book and went to bed again. I had a little problem to get a good position and then I just fell asleep.. I tried a counting technique, but I felt that I never fall asleep if I am doing something like counting so I kinda gave up. How is that "fall asleep with your mind awake" thing is done? :eek:

Perhaps you were just not tired enough for the WBTB to work? Although judging by sleeping at 5am you should have been lol - have you tried this after getting to sleep at a reasonable hour?

When I went to sleep at 5 I fell asleep quite easily. I've stayed up to 5:00Am some days now.. I think I cannot fall asleep easily if I went to bed even hour earlier because of that. :P

Don't stay up for quite as long when you're doing the wbtb... if you can get your head together.. go back to sleep immediately...
