looking at your hands
How many of you look at your hands before bed to try to induce a lucid dream and how effective is it for you? I watched The Good Night last night and it was so fake, the guy would look at his hands before bed and he would always get a lucid dream. (that annoyed me)

Any signal that makes you realize that you are dreaming should be used.
Carlos Castaneda's "finding your hands" method of attaining lucidity was coined from his series of books.
I used it, and the hand technique was effective for me, but whatever RC you wish to use could be just as helpful.
It's all about your dream lifestyle choice:D

A few days ago in one dream I looked at my hands and they looked different. Environment was looking perfetly normal, green forrest. Then I thought:"Oh yeah, why can´t I remember to do RC in my dreams? I RC just in real life."

Last night i got up after a few hours sleep which i always dfo when i use my technique but instead of doing the stuff i usually do i decided to look at my hands alot and ask myself if i was dreaming. I had 3 lucids but none of them were because of this and i don't think it had an effect.

I spent a portion of a dream looking at my hands. They looked so real that I would never guess I was dreaming. I kept getting stung on my hands by these insects, and the sting would keep me from flexing my fingers, so I was looking at my hands, and it looked so real. There were these little red marks like mosquito bites around the joints, and there was nothing unusual about it.
Now I 'm trying to find out if I can see my nose in my dreams...
