Whenever i feel the vibrations starting (i think this means that SP is just around the corner) my heart starts to beat wildly and i can't seem to relax.
Has anyone had this problem? How did you deal with it?

The same thing was asked here, but it wasn't really resolved.
It seems like this is not an uncommon problem.
The best solution I have found is to focus on somethig else, and not force yourself to breathe slow.
Many WILD techniques tells you to focus on your breath, but when I do this I start controlling my breath too. I don't think one's supposed to do that.
are you sure its the vibrations starting? you usually have to be very relaxed just to get to those. The main problem with WILD is how everyone explains it. They explain it in a way that makes new people to the technique think they are supposed to stay awake. That is the wrong idea. How can you dream while you are awake? You cant. During WILD you are supposed to stay conscious not awake. You are supposed to be trying to sleep. So i guess my advice is to relax, and do what you normally do to go to sleep. Get into a comfortable posistion, and just let go. Just try to stay conscious while doing it .
if it really is the vibrations then you should be trying to consentrate on something else. Imagined movement, a dream scene, what you ate for breakfast, etc. Think of anything that will get your mind off of the vibrations. Some people new to the technique have a hard time with this, cause they can't control their emotions so they get excited and the vibrations go away. All it takes is a little practice. :)
thats all the advice i've got! good luck! :)
In all honesty you might just have to experince it 3-4 times before your comfortable with it.
yeah sometimes thats how it goes. It doesnt have to happen like that, but the chances are that its going to be done like that :(Quote:

Thats cool. This topic made my dreams come true. I love, when people responde from their deepest. This way, i can use the knowledge.{ANd i feel i wont be alone}. So... You say, that i should go into sleep and that only experience will solve the everasked problem. Problem of falling into sleep while being conscious. People {count me in} dont read well. I am often dissapointed with short answers, but if i would only analyse them better i would find out, that they contain just the answer i need. Hmmm.
Well. It seems that this topic is moving exactly where it should. To the core.
I wish my topic you posted was answered :( Thank you freefire! I guess I had the wrong idea. But whats the diff. between awake and concious? though I think there the same.
For me it's a state between being fully awake and being almost pre-conscious. You are still aware during the transition, but your thoughts are almost uncontrolled. If you fight too hard to retain consciousness, you never fall asleep, and therefore never make the shift. You do not want to be using so much of your brain's functions to keep you awake; just the consciousness; that part of "you" that feels apart from it. Hard to explain really. You must play around on the border of sleep for a while to really get the feel for it.
Hmm, yeah, i think i know what you're talking about, sometimes when i falling asleep i notice my brain starts to invent scenarios and play them out in my mind, it's like i suddenly become super creative. I can't quite see what's going on but i can imagine it so well it's like i was there and i experienced it myself.
That's the HI. At that stage you simply have to observe it; swim in it so to speak with a "fuzzy head" and it will do the rest. Be passive and make no effort to control it. Soon, you will become part of that scene, and so be in a dream. Your intention to remain conscious will be enough to prevent full sleep.
I have the same problem it happens every time
I dont think anyone really cares though I'm just posting this as an excuse to see if my profile changes work
think of LDing. You are sleeping during LDs right? but you are still conscious. thats how being awake and being conscious are different. Being awake however, requires consciousness. Thats why some people confuse the too.Quote:
